The cameras, for decent megapixel, 1080 and variable focus are around $125 and newer versions have a mic built in. Newer versions also have digital throw and zoom where as older versions were set screws and a pain to tighten a great image. Quality wise, I can't complain about either, I like both. Here is the rub.Ubiquiti and Mikrotik will add their own custom antenna design, TDMA support on some devices (all in the case of Mikrotik), all sorts of bridging. They'll do additional active management of connected clients to provides things like roaming assistance etc. They'll support multiple SSIDs bridged to VLANs out of the box.Not as good as running a cable of course, but its the next best thing. 200mbps if your using AV500 or AV600 with an average signal between devices in the same building. I suspect that the 5 device limit is related to the restricted memory (~1 GB, if I read the specs properly). The UX can function as a Gateway using it own internal controller, or as an AP if adopted into another Unifi controller. AT present, those are the only listed deployment options. Reply reply.so the device in image 1 is your modem it is your internet feed. that the yellow port of it gets plugged directly into the "WAN 1" port of the unifi usg (image3) that is your router. the "LAN 1" port is then plugged into the switch. and the switch is then plugged into every wired device. including the wifi ap pros. Smorgas47.For those interested in the Ubiquiti U6 Ent AP with 2.5 GbE, I confirmed that both units will transfer at those speeds. That said, only the MicroTik will report 2.5 GbE in the UI. The ubiquity reports 10 GbE. I recall reading on here that MicroTik was the only vendor that bothered to wire this reporting capability. 🤨The UDM-Pro was shut down and the UDR took it's place for six weeks. The UDR internet speed was max 650 Mbps on a 1 Gbps connection, on WiFi I could reach 600 Mbps - when using the UDM-Pro and the same AP's I got WiFi 700 Mbps.
